Many fans were left scratching their heads after WWE announced another event hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe for across SummerSlam weekend, particularly after the backlash caused by the controversial “Roast Of WrestleMania” hosted by Hinchcliffe across WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas that saw several offensive jokes made and heat directed towards the likes of Paul Heyman and Nia Jax.

However, fans needn’t worry about more leaks of their favourite stars saying something potentially problematic, as ‘WWE Late Night’ starring Tony Hinchliffe has been cancelled. It was first seen across Ticketmaster that the event had been seemingly cancelled, with PWInsider confirming as such shortly after this.

The event, which was set to take place on August 2 at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in New Jersey, was reportedly cancelled by WWE after sources claimed that ticket sales had been “light”. In the lead-up, Cody Rhodes had been advertised, but no other WWE talent had yet been announced. Hinchliffe’s relationship with WWE has brought several negatives thus far, such as his commentary cameo on Monday Night RAW being considered as a dud
