WWE Medical Update On Von Wagner Following Steel Steps Spot

Latest on Von Wagner's condition from WWE

Von Wagner is currently off WWE TV following Bron Breakker's attack on the September 5 edition of WWE NXT and WWE provided an update on the second-generation talent during the latest show from the Performance Center on September 12.

NXT commentator Vic Joseph has revealed that Wagner in storyline was diagnosed with a "minor skull fracture" and there is no timetable on Wagner's return due to his past brain and skull surgeries. Wagner is still being monitored by specialists during his time away from NXT.

Wagner was written off WWE NXT last week following his loss to Bron Breakker, with the two-time NXT Champion laying him out post-match with a steel steps shot to the head. The broadcast cut to black just before Breakker connected with the steel steps and a bloodied Wagner was later stretchered out of the Performance Center.

There have been conflicting reports about if the steel steps spot came together as planned. A report from Bodyslam.net noted the steps made contact with Wagner's head and neck which busted him open and that aspects of the spot "went wrong." Haus of Wrestling, meanwhile, reported the spot happened as planned and Wagner is "totally fine."

Bron Breakker has remained on NXT in Wagner's absence. He will face Baron Corbin in a singles match at WWE NXT No Mercy on September 30.
