WWE and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide presented Worlds Collide on Saturday, June 7, and the show had a different feel from a usual WWE event, appearing to be far more pro wrestling than sports entertainment.
There is ultimately a reason for this as WWE Head of Media and Production Lee Fitting did not head production for Worlds Collide. PWInsider has reported that the show was instead a Jeremy Borash production, with Borash running all aspects of the live broadcast from the KIA Forum.
Borash has been a part of WWE since 2018, serving as the Senior Director of Content and Development. He joined the AAA creative team earlier this year as a WWE representative and he is part of creative along with Konnan and "Moody" Jack Melendez.
Jeremy Borash has long worked on the production side of professional wrestling, stretching back to his time in World Championship Wrestling in the 1990s. He then worked for TNA from the promotion's inception in 2002 until Borash joined WWE.
Coming out of Worlds Collide, one talent who has generated excitement is Mr. Iguana and he may make appearances on WWE NXT in the future. Corey Graves has also received praise for his Worlds Collide commentary.
