WWE x AAA Worlds Collide on Saturday, June 7 was a widely praised show from the two promotions in Los Angeles, California, but no talent has enchanted fans more than Mr. Iguana.
Iguana, who wrestled with his puppet La Yezca, teamed with Octagon Jr. and Aero Star to defeat Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado. Such was the positive reception to Iguana that WWE booked him to appear in the crowd at Money in the Bank at short notice.
In an update on Mr. Iguana's WWE future, an NXT source noted to Fightful Select that they will be pushing for Iguana to make appearances for the WWE brand. There have also been talks about how to appropriately merchandise Mr. Iguana, which has included discussions around iguana puppets. His WWE t-shirt sold "exceptionally well" over the weekend.
Mr. Iguana also seemingly now has supporters within WWE, with higher-ups telling Fightful that Iguana was a "pleasure" and he was happy to do any and all promotional work the company needed. Members of the WWE roster also asked him for photos.
Since his debut, Mr. Iguana has thanked fans for the positive reception he received on Saturday night.
