WWE are working closely with Trump-aligned comedian Tony Hinchcliffe for the Roast of WrestleMania, the company has officially announced.
The Roast of WrestleMania will take place after WrestleMania 41 night two at the BleauLive Theater, part of the Fontainebleau Las Vegas resort. The show will be held on April 20 at 10 pm PT. The event will be hosted by Tony Hinchcliffe and feature the likes of Sami Zayn, The Miz, Braun Strowman, and Paul Heyman.
Reports in recent days had noted that WWE were planning to host a Roast of WrestleMania following WrestleMania 41. WWE's biggest show of the year is planned for Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on April 19 and April 20.
Tony Hinchcliffe - the host of Kill Tony - was condemned by Democrats and Republicans in 2024 after he made racist jokes at a Donald Trump rally. Along with calling Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean", Hinchcliffe suggested Latinos "loved making babies", drew on racist tropes around black people and watermelons, and called Palestinians rock-throwers.
WWE, of course, are connected to President Donald Trump and former WWE CEO Linda McMahon is the US Secretary of Education. Trump is also in the WWE Hall of Fame.
