Alberto El Patron (FKA Alberto Del Rio) has been banned from performing in Tijuana for six months after he attacked spectators at a pro wrestling event on March 14.
The Lucha Libre Commission of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico has announced that Del Rio is banned from wrestling in the city for 180 days. The ban came into effect on March 17.
El Patron received a ban from the Lucha Libre Commission after wrestling at a AAA event in Tijuana on March 14. After defeating El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. El Patron pointed at a fan and then tried to hop the guardrail. After failing to do so, Del Rio walked around to a gap in the barricade and entered the crowd, at which point he picked up a chair and threw it at a fan.
El Patron then tried to leave the fan area but he was struck in the face by another chair being thrown by a spectator. Security intervened but they were unable to prevent El Patron from being hit by more objects. El Patron then pushed a fan before he headed back to the ringside area.
Alberto El Patron is one of the top stars in AAA and he is the reigning AAA Mega Champion, having held the belt since August 2024. El Patron also accepts independent bookings and he recently faced Miro in Qatar in the former Rusev's first match since his AEW release.
