WWE NXT Premieres On USA Network On Wednesday, September 18

Two weeks before AEW's premiere...

It's official: NXT is moving up from WWE Network.

On Wednesday, September 18, NXT will premiere on USA Network in two-hour form, airing from 8 to 10 PM EST. This is the same time slot that AEW's TNT show will occupy when it premieres two weeks later.

NXT's move had been the subject of much speculation, with the news heating up over the past several days. At one juncture, it seemed as though NXT was bound for Fox Sports 1 (to enhance the new WWE-FOX connection), but instead, WWE opted toward its longtime USA Network home. This reportedly didn't sit well with those at FOX.

The NXT on USA premiere takes place three days after the Clash of Champions pay-per-view in Charlotte.

It had been posited by a number of commentators and insiders that Vince McMahon is likely to get more heavily involved in the NXT product behind the scenes, as its new cable placement is certainly a counter-move to try and diminish AEW's TNT launch.

Nick Jackson simply tweeted out, "We ain't scared" in response to the news.
