The production team which works on NXT is reportedly 'down to a skeleton crew' after further cuts by WWE.
WWE have regularly made releases throughout the year, affecting both talent and backstage employees, with notable wave of mass departures from backstage departments coming in May, which led to a host of areas merged into one super-department named 'WWE Media'.
According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, WWE have made further cuts, this time to the production team that works on and operates NXT. The report indicates that the team which sets up for NXT on a weekly basis is now running on a skeleton crew.
The cuts to backstage elements of NXT come after 13 names from the brand and 205 Live were released at the start of August, including former North American Champions Bronson Reed and Leon Ruff, and Mercedes Martinez.
WWE is set to debut a new look and feel for NXT this week, complete with a remodelled Capitol Wrestling Center, as the previous black-and-gold brand shows off a new colour scheme and production core at the heart of the show.
