WWE NXT's Danny Burch Out For Six Months

He separated his shoulder last week

WWE have confirmed that Danny Burch is set to miss six months of in-ring action as a result of his shoulder injury.

Burch sustained a separated shoulder in an NXT Tag Team Championship match last week, which put him and Oney Lorcan against Karrion Kross and Finn Balor. Burch failed to get the full rotation when Kross double-suplexed him and Lorcan, resulting in an awkward landing.

The 39-year-old was unable to finish the match, with it confirmed earlier this week that he had separated his shoulder and, as a result, he and Lorcan would be vacating the Tag Team Titles.

NXT commentator Vic Joseph would address the situation on Wednesday's show, confirming that WWE expected Burch to be absent for six months, which would put a return at around October.

The new NXT Tag Team Champions will be decided in a triple threat match at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, when MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter), Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson), and Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza) compete in a triple threat match.
