WWE NXT Set To Resume House Shows In July

A return to the ‘Coconut loop’

NXT are set to resume live shows in July, with a return to the ‘Coconut loop’ in Florida floated.

These shows were common before the Covid-19 pandemic hit, and allowed talents not featured regularly on NXT TV as well as established stars time to develop.

The following was reported by The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer:

“NXT talent has been told that they will start running house shows in Florida starting in July. The idea would be to run in the usual 200 to 400 seat buildings they were running in before when they ran the Central and Northern Florida “coconut loop.” The belief is that talent will be asked to get vaccinated as something mandatory because they are going to be running in some rural heavy right-wing markets and the feeling is with that fan base they wouldn’t be able to enforce a mask ordinance.”

With WWE’s main brands returning to live touring in July, it comes as no surprised that they want NXT to return to the loop too, re-opening a revenue stream that has been closed for well over a year.
