WWE Officials Reportedly 'Freak Out' During Survivor Series 2021 Main Event

A time concern came into play

There was reportedly some form of a 'minor freak out' backstage during the main event of WWE Survivor Series 2021 amid concerns the match could overrun and miss the mark for the end of the show.

Roman Reigns and Big E main-evented Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view in a Champion Vs. Champion Match, with SmackDown's Universal Champion claiming victory in a hard-hitting encounter.

According to PWInsider, there was concern backstage during the main event regarding running out of time for the show, resulting in what is described as a 'minor freak out'. WWE Survivor Series 2021 was scheduled to go off-air no later than 11:35pm Eastern Time and there was worry that - with the main event still to go - that WWE was cutting it mighty close to the mark.

As it happens, Reigns and Big E concluded their match with time to spare, but it is noted that in the moment, there was verbal queries as to why the ten participants in the Men's Traditional Survivor Series Tag Team Match earlier in the night had been given so long for their respective entrances.
