WWE Pitches To Write Ricochet Off TV Revealed

Ricochet looks to be on his way out of WWE, with reports in recent days claiming the former Intercontinental Champion had given his notice to WWE and he will leave the company when his deal expires at some point this Summer. 

Fightful Select has since noted they could not confirm if Ricochet had given his notice but it is highly likely the 35-year-old will be leaving the organisation. With it being expected that Ricochet is on his way out, there have been pitches within WWE creative over how to write Ricochet off WWE programming. 

Part of the pitches that have already been made involved Ricochet dropping the WWE Speed Championship to Andrade, which took place at Friday's SmackDown taping, and the match will air this week. Other pitches are on the table too, including one plan that would see Bron Breakker take out Ricochet on Monday Night Raw. The two competitors have been feuding in recent weeks and Bron Breakker defeated Ricochet on last week's edition of Raw. Fightful noted, however, that WWE plans may change. 

When exactly Ricochet's contract expires is unknown beyond that he will be a free agent in the first half of the Summer. The expectation within WWE is that Ricochet will sign with All Elite Wrestling when he does become a free agent.
