WWE Expect Ricochet To Join AEW

People within WWE expect Ricochet to end up in AEW.

Current WWE star Ricochet will have no shortage of suitors, following reports that he intends to leave the company when his current deal expires.

Fightful Select noted that there is heavy interest globally in The King of Flight, including from All Elite Wrestling. Fightful's report added that those within WWE expect the 35-year-old to land in Tony Khan's promotion.

Furthermore, AEW talent and backstage staff were talking about the possibility of Ricochet joining the company this past week. However, there have been no official talks between Ricochet and AEW, as he is still under contract to WWE.

AEW's Will Ospreay has publicly spoken about being 'saddened' by his former rival's treatment in WWE, while expressing his hopes to wrestle him again one day.

As well as AEW, New Japan Pro-Wrestling are also expected to be interested in the former Intercontinental Champion.

As of now, it is unknown exactly when Ricochet's WWE deal runs out. Fightful were told that it was due to expire in 'the first half of the summer'.

Ricochet initially signed with WWE in January 2018. As well as the Intercontinental Championship, he also won the United States and NXT North American titles and was the inaugural WWE Speed Champion.
