It has been a big year for WWE in Saudi Arabia, with two major PLE’s being hosted in 2026. The Royal Rumble 2026 PLE was the first time the event had exited North America, featuring Rumble wins for both Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan, plus the retirement of AJ Styles. This was followed up with the 2026 Night Of Champions PLE, featuring the coronations of King Of The Ring Oba Femi and Queen Of The Ring Iyo Sky, plus the monumental WWE Championship win of Sami Zayn. WWE may be heading back to the Kingdom soon.

On Fightful Select, it is noted that there is “likely to be one more event in Saudi Arabia later this year, if everything goes according to the original plan.” This follows previous reports of WWE holding three Saudi Arabia PLEs in 2026, even though the company is heading to the country next year for WrestleMania 43, marking the first time WWE’s marquee event has been held outside the North American continent.

There were some worries around WWE’s latest trip to Saudi Arabia due to conflicts in the Middle East, but Night Of Champions ended up taking place regardless.
