WWE talents won't need to work the Fourth of July holiday in the United States.
The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has announced that the July 4 edition of Friday Night SmackDown will be taped on the same night as a live edition of Monday Night Raw on June 30.
"Breaking News: Our previously scheduled WWE Monday Night Raw will now include Friday Night SmackDown on June 30th right here in Pittsburgh! TWO SHOWS, ONE NIGHT! Get your tickets now!" the venue tweeted.
How long the July 4 episode of SmackDown will be is up in the air. Friday Night SmackDown is currently a three-hour show, which has been the case since the beginning of 2025.
It was announced by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H earlier this year that SmackDown would eventually transition back to being two hours in June, but internal listings within USA Network suggested episodes of SmackDown beyond June 6 were still planned for a three-hour runtime.
