WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins Talks Potential Match Against CM Punk

WrestleMania main event?

Seth Rollins heads into this Sunday's Royal Rumble looking to win the men's match for the second time in a row.

The newly-crowned Raw Tag Team Champion spoke to the Houston Chronicle in the build-up to the Rumble event and perhaps inevitably, CM Punk's name was brought up.

The Straight Edge Superstar, now an analyst on WWE Backstage, and The Monday Night Messiah have thrown jibes at each other over the last little while, naturally leading to speculation they could have a match.

Rollins believes any match between CM Punk and himself is bigger than any one WWE event: “If he wants to get back into the ring and show that he’s more than just a critic and that he can actually back up what he is saying then I would love to be the guy to get in there and have the match and I think WrestleMania would be the proper stage for it, but I don’t think it has to happen at WrestleMania.

"I think that match is bigger than any one event and so if he were ever to come back, we could do it anytime, anyplace and it would sell out wherever.”
