Following the reboot of the series in late 2024, WWE held their second edition of Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25 as the show emanated from San Antonio, Texas.

SNME once again featured Jesse "The Body" Ventura and the event saw Bron Breakker successfully defend the Intercontinental Title against Sheamus, Rhea Ripley hold onto the Women's World Championship with a win over Nia Jax, Jacob Fatu destroy Braun Strowman, Shawn Michaels hit Kevin Owens with Sweet Chin Music, and Gunther retain the World Heavyweight Title courtesy of his victory against Jey Uso.

The show received an overall positive reception on social media and WWE were reportedly "extremely pleased" with how Saturday Night's Main Event came together, according to PWN.

Cory of PWN tweeted: "WWE is extremely pleased with how SNME played out last night, and the social response was insane. The throwback show is making waves and NBCU/Peacock is said to be 'excited' with it. Sounds like the deal was great overall for both parties."

The next edition of Saturday Night's Main Event is planned for May 24, the same weekend as AEW Double or Nothing. SNME will then go head-to-head with AEW All In Texas on July 12.
