Tony Khan Now 'More In The Weeds' With AEW Creative
Khan is reportedly being more hands-on with AEW creative these days
Jan 27, 2025
AEW owner Tony Khan is said to be 'more in the weeds creatively of late', according to Fightful Select.
The news follows the January 25 episode of AEW Collision, which people within the company were said to be 'pumped' about.
One of the big stories coming out of Collision was the return of 'Timeless' Toni Storm, who revealed that she had been 'playing' her original AEW persona the whole time since her return at Dynamite: Winter is Coming.
Storm will challenge Mariah May for the AEW Women's World Championship at Grand Slam Australia, which will air in the Collision spot on February 15.
Another potential AEW creative change could be the return of Paul Wight, after the promotion filed to trademark 'Captain Insano' for use in a wrestling capacity.
Fans hoping that Khan books Jeff Jarrett to win the AEW World Championship may be disappointed, however, since there are reportedly no plans for that to happen.
The Hurt Syndicate, on the other hand, did recently win the AEW World Tag Team Titles, despite that not being the plan a couple of months ago.
