'Timeless' Toni Storm Returns On AEW Collision
Toni Storm shed her skin on AEW Collision
Jan 26, 2025
Ever since her return to AEW programming at the Dynamite: Winter Is Coming show, Toni Storm has reverted back to her original AEW persona, and has played the role of a ‘rookie’. Although fans initially believed Storm had simply returned to an old gimmick, it became clear that she was either acting or else lost her mind, adding a whole lot to her character development.
After earning a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at the upcoming AEW Grand Slam: Australia event, Storm and former friend-turned-rival Mariah May met in the ring for a face to face segment on last night’s episode of Collision: Homecoming in Daily’s Place.
Their promo on Collision saw Storm continue to play the rookie, and then proceed to act like May’s biggest fan, resting her head on the chest of the AEW Women’s World Champion, mirroring the way Mariah May used to act when she too was pretending to be Storm’s biggest fan. May then snapped, attacking Storm with several slaps and a whip from the championship belt. This sparked a big change.
As May walked to the back, Storm grabbed the mic. Her accent began to change, the cadence and verbiage in her delivery was different, there was smeared lipstick on her face and she stripped off to reveal the ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm attire. She cut a promo revealing she’d played the performance of a lifetime, and she remembered everything all along. She told May that she came from her womb, and she’ll shove her back up there and spit her out. We aren’t sure on the logistics of that, but either way, ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm is back. Their match at AEW Grand Slam: Australia will air in Collision's spot on Saturday, February 15.
