Artificial intelligence is being used for WWE storylines, TKO President Mark Shapiro officially confirmed at a town hall meeting on Monday.
"Nick Khan and Triple H are using AI for storylines with the WWE. What's resonating? What Superstars are resonating? In what pockets of the country are they resonating? That helps us with, obviously, our content, our editorial, our creative, our mapping, our touring, and of course, maximising revenue and getting our product out to the fans most in need of it," Shapiro said, with audio of the meeting being published by POST Wrestling.
TKO Chief Financial Officer Andrew Schleimer also noted that AI has been used to run tests and pilots, with it being used for data and analytics, while it has also been utilised in a minor way to enhance broadcasts. Shapiro considers TKO embracing AI to be a "major priority" for the future of the organisation.
While this does mean that WWE are using artificial intelligence to write storylines, its use has already been evident on WWE TV over the past year through AI-created video packages, such as for El Grande Americano in March 2025 and Zaria on the April 28, 2026 episode of NXT.
