WWE's Omos: "Being Paired With AJ Styles Is The Best Thing That Could Ever Happen For My Career"

A phenomenal partnership

Omos has been on a tear in WWE in recent months. Initially kept on the outside as AJ Styles' muscle, the former basketball player eventually entered the squared circle at WrestleMania 37 and captured gold in his first match, defeating The New Day with Styles for the Raw Tag Team Championship.

WWE has continued to present Omos as a monster since the title win and Raw's latest giant looks set for a big future on the main roster.

The partnership with The Phenomenal One has allowed Omos to maintain his mystique as Styles has worked much of their matches before the giant explodes into the ring and annihilates the competition.

Omos commented on his partnership with Styles during a recent feature in The Athletic and the 27-year-old stated: "Me being paired with AJ Styles is the best thing that could ever happen for my career. The best thing. That's the best I can put it. The best thing. He's been like a big brother to me. I just listen to him and absorb."

The feature also covered Omos' journey to becoming a pro wrestler and the Superstar revealed he had a "super-booster" brain tumour while in college and was close to going blind because it was encroaching on his optic nerve. He ended up undergoing two brain surgeries to solve the issue.
