WWE's R-Truth Slams CM Punk, Claims Awesome Truth Was Hotter Than The New AEW Signing In 2011

Truth also believes Punk wasn't impressive

WWE's R-Truth has slammed CM Punk and claimed Awesome Truth, the former 24/7 Champion's tag team with The Miz, was hotter than Punk in 2011.

The Straight Edge Superstar returned to professional wrestling last week during AEW Rampage: The First Dance and fans have been listening to Punk's 2014 podcast with Colt Cabana where he detailed his exit from WWE.

One clip of the podcast shared on TikTok was Punk detailing his final meeting with Vince McMahon and Triple H where he told them he was going home.

Punk told McMahon: "'It boggles my mind how Daniel Bryan has not figured into your plans to be in the main event of WrestleMania because this is his f*cking year. Just like two years ago it was my f*cking year and I was white f*cking hot just like he is now. And what did you do? You fed me to this guy.' And I pointed right at Hunter."

"Vince was just like, 'This is the concussion talking. I can't believe you're saying any of this. It is a main event, you're wrestling Triple H.' And I turned to Hunter and I said, 'All due respect, I do not need to wrestle you. You need to wrestle me. I do not want to wrestle you. I seriously resent you for not putting me over three years when you should have. That would have been best for business but you had to f*cking come in and squash it and I had to lose to Truth and Miz. Like, it didn't make any business sense then, It doesn't make any business sense now. I am in a position now where I can tell you that I don't have to nor do I want to wrestle you at WrestleMania.'"

WrestlingNews.co noted Truth commented on the clip, writing: "CM Punk you lost to me an Miz cause we were HOTTER than you sorry, and I neva thought you were impressive at all, just typical entitlement."

Following the Summer of Punk, during which The Second City Saviour was the biggest star in the industry, Punk was defeated by Triple H at Night Of Champions before he teamed with The Game in a loss to Awesome Truth at the Vengeance pay-per-view.
