WWE's Riddle "Ruffled Some Feathers" With Recent Roman Reigns Comments

Riddle's recent comments about Universal Champion Roman Reigns have reportedly "ruffled some feathers" within WWE.

The topic of needle movers in professional wrestling emerged ahead of CM Punk's AEW debut after Reigns claimed The Straight Edge Superstar didn't move the needle like The Rock did. The Big Dog then claimed SummerSlam was "legitimate needle moving" following the August 21 pay-per-view. 

While the issue appeared to have died down, Riddle suddenly said over the weekend that Reigns was not a needle mover before The Original Bro claimed he could beat up the Universal Champion in a real fight. 

"No disrespect to Roman, he seems like a swell fella, but at the same time, it's like when people say they're a good parent. You know what? If you were a good parent, your kids would be telling you you're a good parent. When he's saying 'Acknowledge me' or 'I move the needle,' no, you don't. You're related to The Rock. Shut up. Like, I'm not impressed, I can beat you up in a real fight. So, shut your mouth," Riddle said.

"You're not moving needles. I'm the real stallion, RK-Bro is moving the merch, we're moving the needle, and that's it. I don't want to say too much, I'm not trying to get in trouble. Hey, hats off to him. He's amazing at what he does. I do like what he does, but at the same time, it's like, get off your high horse. You're in that spot for a reason. You're not a bro. You're second generation. I'm first generation."

Similar to his past comments, Riddle appears to have landed himself in some trouble within WWE. According to Dave Meltzer, Riddle's push won't be affected but he did ruffle some feathers within the company. 

"In real life, his mouth gets him in trouble a lot, including this last week. It's not like it's going to hurt his push because Vince likes him and everything but he ruffled some feathers again with his comments on Roman Reigns," Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Riddle is currently one of the featured acts on Monday Night Raw alongside Randy Orton as RK-Bro. They are the reigning Raw Tag Team Champions and they look set to feud with the likes of Bobby Lashley and MVP in the coming weeks.
