WWE's Saudi Arabia PPV Likely To Be Same Weekend As AEW Double Or Nothing

WWE and AEW likely to run PPVs on the same weekend in late May

Late May looks set to have a busy weekend of professional wrestling.

Reports have indicated that WWE are planning to return to Saudi Arabia in late May and now Mike Johnson of PWInsider has claimed that WWE will likely hold their next pay-per-view in the Middle East during the final weekend of May, either on May 24, 25, or 26. Although neither event has been made official as of yet, Johnson noted the final weekend of May would be the same weekend as All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing pay-per-view which historically takes place in Las Vegas.

"It will either be the weekend of the 24th, 25th, 26th or possibly the 17th, 18th, 19th. But I believe it's going to be the weekend of the 24th, 25th, 26th. That is also, imagine this, the same weekend as AEW Double or Nothing," Mike Johnson said.

WWE Night of Champions and AEW Double or Nothing took place over the same weekend in 2023, with Night of Champions being held on Saturday, May 27 in Saudi Arabia before Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 28 in Las Vegas.

Both companies have pay-per-views planned before then. WWE will hold WrestleMania 40 on April 6 and April 7 before Backlash on May 4. AEW, meanwhile, will hold Dynasty on April 21.
