WWE Scraps Ongoing NXT Storyline

WWE NXT storyline dropped

An ongoing WWE NXT storyline has been scrapped.

A programme on TV over the past few months had seen Gigi Dolin and Arianna Grace linked on TV. The two competitors were initially rivals but Dolin was forced to put herself under the learning tree of Grace after Arianna won their singles match on the March 12 edition of NXT by DQ. Grace won the match following a Low Blow from Dolin, with the referee having missed Grace's initial Low Blow to the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion only moments earlier.

The match led to a couple of vignettes on WWE NXT where Grace tried to give Dolin a makeover. Fightful Select has reported, however, that the storyline has been dropped by WWE and Gigi Dolin was not backstage at Tuesday night's NXT TV taping. Grace was booked on the show, ultimately losing to Lola Vice in a two-minute match. Why WWE have dropped the Grace-Dolin programme is unknown.

WWE still have major plans for the NXT women's division, particularly at Battleground on Sunday, June 9 where NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez will go one-on-one with TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace.
