WWE Signs Indy Star Christian Casanova
He's been a standout for various northeastern indies
Feb 13, 2021
It was revealed Friday that WWE has signed independent talent Christian Casanova to a developmental deal. Fightful Select reported the signing initially, which was later corroborated by Figure Four Weekly.
Casanova turned pro in 2014, and has made his name working for various promotions in his native New England area for much of that span.
In recent times, Casanova has wrestled for Limitless Wrestling, Chaotic Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, Black Label Pro, Northeast Wrestling, and Beyond Wrestling. Notable opponents over the past several years include Flip Gordon, Delirious, ACH, Top Flight, Andy "The Butcher" Williams, and Pepper "The Blade" Parks, among others.
Casanova is presently the champion of both Northeast Wrestling and Limitless Wrestling. His most recent match took place on Thursday, February 4, losing to Adam Booker at a Chaotic Wrestling Reloaded taping in North Andover, MA.
It's not presently known when Casanova will report to WWE's Performance Center.
Much has been made of the upcoming WWE Performance Center class. College football standout (and Brock Lesnar lookalike) Parker Boudreaux has recently signed, while Bronson Rechsteiner (the son of Rick Steiner) has already been training at the PC.
