In recent months, Pete Dunne has received a fresh coat of paint and returned fully to his “Pete Dunne” persona after wrestling the last couple of years under the “Butch” name and gimmick. On SmackDown, he has formed the “New Catch Republic” with former fellow British Strong Style ally Tyler Bate, recently qualifying for the WrestleMania 40 six-team Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship ladder match. Dunne has been busy with some other engagements too.

Per Fightful Select, Pete Dunne was listed as a producer over the last few days, with him working as a producer for a set of WWE Speed tapings. This new five-minute match type is set to be a social media exclusive show with faster-paced action, and for the matches taped at SmackDown which saw Cedric Alexander vs. Odyssey Jones and Tyler Bate vs. Angel Garza, Dunne had a direct hand in putting those bouts together.

Dunne is just 30 years of age with plenty of years left in the ring, and the report states that it doesn’t know the future of Dunne as a producer as of now, and whether this is just a trial run.
