WWE Speed To Air On X (Twitter) Later This Year

WWE Speed to air later this year

WWE Speed is sticking around after all.

It has been announced that WWE Speed will debut this Spring and will air exclusively on X (FKA Twitter). The show will be live to tape and feature talents from across the WWE roster, with new episodes airing 52 weeks per year, the Hollywood Reporter noted. No financial terms for the deal have been revealed.

The WWE Speed rules were previously explained at a dark taping testing the concept in December 2023. The rules are as follows:

"Matches have five-minute time limits. The winner of the match receives a point, the loser is docked a point, and if the bout goes to a time-limit draw, no points are awarded. A five-minute countdown clock appears on the video wall during the contest."

WWE tested WWE Speed at a double taping of SmackDown in December 2023, taping Bronson Reed vs. Nathan Frazer and Cedric Alexander vs. Axiom. The matches are designed to be fast-paced as wrestlers try to pick up the win within the five-minute time limit.

WWE filed to trademark 'WWE Speed' in December 2023 and filed to trademark the term again on February 7 with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
