WWE Spoils Major SmackDown Return

WWE spoils a big SmackDown return

WWE have spoiled a major return that is set to take place on tonight's special Tribute to the Troops edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

A pop-up advertisement on WWE.com for SmackDown features the likes of LA Knight, Charlotte Flair, the Street Profits, Bobby Lashley, and IYO SKY. That isn't all, though, and the final WWE Superstar featured in the advert is AJ Styles, who hasn't been seen on WWE TV in recent months.

WWE have yet to make Styles' return official but his appearance on the advertisement confirms he is very likely to appear on SmackDown. Reports this week noted Styles was planned to return at Tribute to the Troops.

Styles has been off WWE TV since he was taken out backstage by The Bloodline in late September. The two-time WWE Champion was originally scheduled to make his return to WWE TV on the November 10 edition of SmackDown but that return was scrapped for an unknown reason.

Already official for tonight's edition of SmackDown is the return of CM Punk, Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka, and two United States Title number one contender tournament matches in Karrion Kross vs. Bobby Lashley and Santos Escobar vs. Dragon Lee.
