WWE Star & More Tweet #WeWantCody

#WeWantCody trends on social media following Friday's controversial angle with Cody Rhodes and The Rock

Fan response to the segment between Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Rock from this past Friday's episode of SmackDown has drawn a, shall we say, 'mixed' response from WWE fans

Many have taken umbrage with the decision to have Cody seemingly step aside and allow The Rock to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania XL. The video of the segment, uploaded to WWE's YouTube account, is reportedly the most 'disliked' video in the company's history.

As well as fans, several of The American Nightmare's contemporaries - and even Santa Claus - have shown their support and desire to have Rhodes 'finish the story' by tweeting #WeWantCody (which trended on social media).

Matt Cardona, Ricochet and Logan Paul are among those to utilise the hashtag.

The Rock, meanwhile, has posted about the 'undeniable' reaction his arrival on SmackDown received.

SEScoops writer Aaron Varble noted that, while WWE are monitoring the fan response to the situation, the plan is not changing. Furthermore, there is no chance the plan will change unless The Rock himself backs out, as he has been 'calling the shot' since the beginning of the year.
