Report: WWE Superstar Spectacle Could Feature Top Raw & SmackDown Superstars

AJ Styles could face off against Jinder Mahal again

WWE recently announced they will broadcast a special event named Superstar Spectacle on January 26 on the Sony Sports Network in India. The event will take place on Republic Day, a national holiday in the country.

WWE talent associated with India like Jinder Mahal, The Singh Brothers, Indus Sher, Kavita Devi and Jeet Rama have all been advertised for the show.

Other WWE Superstars could also be in action on the special, according to Sportskeeda. They reported some of the names under consideration for the special were Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, Charlotte Flair, The New Day, Bayley and Rey Mysterio. A prominent WWE legend may also be on the show.

Drew McIntyre can likely be ruled out from being on the special following his positive COVID-19 test and The New Day may not be in action as Kofi Kingston is currently suffering from a jaw issue

A past report from POST Wrestling noted the Special will be taped on January 22 in Florida. The expectation is that the show will eventually lead to a fully-fledged series in India, similar to WWE's strategy with NXT UK.
