WWE Superstars To Have A Week Off At Christmas

WWE won't be putting on any live shows the week of Christmas

The WWE schedule is one of the most unforgiving in both sports and television, with wrestlers being on the road for the majority of the year for live events, TV tapings, and PPVs. It is unrelenting, with many not having extended time off except for injuries. Even over the holiday season, WWE superstars are expected to work, with there even being a live Monday Night RAW on Christmas Day a few years back.

This year though under new ownership and creative control of Triple H, wrestlers will be spending the holidays with their loved ones. According to Fightful Select, superstars are set to be having a full week off at Christmas time based on WWE’s upcoming taping schedule.

There are no shows planned between the dates of December 19 and December 25, with it looking as though the return to the road will take place on Boxing Day. The December 15 episode of SmackDown looks to potentially be a double taping, and the RAW following that has been rumoured to be a “best of” episode.
