WWE Talents Thought Penta Would Be At Raw Netflix Premiere

Penta is on his way to WWE, and whilst we know the former AEW star will make his debut on the January 13 edition of Raw, many expected him to appear on the January 6 Netflix debut of the show.

It wasn’t just fans who expected the Lucha Brother on the show, with a report from Fightful Select suggesting that many talents backstage in WWE expected the former TNA World Champion on the show as well.

Vignettes for Penta have aired across WWE TV over the past several weeks, with Penta having been expected to join WWE for months with reports in late Spring/early Summer 2024 suggesting that he would make the jump to WWE following the expiration of his All Elite Wrestling deal. Penta’s brother Rey Fenix is also expected to join the company, but will have to wait it out after AEW added injury time to his deal.

During the January 6 edition of Raw, a backstage segment between Chad Gable and GM Adam Pearce saw Pearce set Gable up for a match with a yet-unannounced opponent on January 13, with it expected that Penta will be the one to face Gable.
