WWE To Hold Tryouts Ahead Of SummerSlam
Some fresh blood is potentially coming to the Performance Center
WWE are set to hold a series of try-outs in the Las Vegas area ahead of WWE SummerSlam.
It’s believed WWE will be holding multi-day tryouts for both male and female candidates to try and join WWE’s ever expansive roster ahead of the big event on August 21, with WWE’s executive vice president of global talent, strategy and development Triple H stating that:
“Talent is the lifeblood of our industry. These tryouts, coupled with SummerSlam, one of our premier events, will help us discover world-class athletes that will serve as the next wave of WWE superstars.”
Triple H can point to the likes of NXT Superstar Xia Li as a success of WWE’s tryouts, with Li being signed to WWE after impressing at a tryout in China.
SummerSlam takes place Saturday, August 21 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which will be the first time the yearly event has been held in a National Football League stadium.With reports that WWE truly intend for SummerSlam to actually be ‘the biggest party of the Summer’ and not just a tagline, it seems these tryouts could be the first stop.
