WWE Treating Raw's Netflix Premiere 'Like A WrestleMania'
WWE Raw Netflix premiere being treated ‘like a WrestleMania’
Dec 5, 2024
WWE enters a new era on January 6, 2025, with Raw set to premiere on Netflix, a night that is being treated ‘like a WrestleMania’ by the company.
The show is set to be a monumental night for WWE as its flagship show leaves traditional broadcast television for the first time in its 30-year-plus run, and during a conversation with USA Today, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque claims the Jan. 6 date has been circled ‘for months’ with WWE looking at the event “like a WrestleMania”.
What that means is not clear, but it can be assumed that WWE will be looking to pull out all the stops to enter the Netflix era with a bang. Multi-time WWE Champion John Cena has already been confirmed for the show as part of his 2025 retirement tour, whilst the recent appearance of Becky Lynch at a WWE Netflix event this week has set tongues wagging.
Until the move to Netflix, WWE Network users in the UK and Ireland can enjoy the final month of the service’s operation for free.
