WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne Suffers Undisclosed Injury & Pulled From Events

Not good news for The Bruiserweight...

WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne has been one of the standout performers in the yellow brand so far this year, competing in a series of barn-burning matches against the likes of  Ricochet, Adam Cole, and Kyle O'Reilly. However, the British Strong Style member has suffered an injury recently, and has been forced to withdraw from some independent bookings he had coming up this weekend.

At the time of writing, it's unsure what the injury is, how the injury occurred, or how long Dunne will be out of action for, but it's certainly serious enough that he's been told to take some time away from the ring. He did compete at last Sunday's PROGRESS show, 'Hello Wembley', in a match against Ilja Dragunov where he appeared to leave the ring unscathed.

Pete was supposed to compete at Destiny Wrestling's Raising Hell Tour this weekend, but the promotion announced via their social media channels that The Bruiserweight was being pulled from the shows due to injury. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate will be replacing Dunne at those shows, however, with former WWE and TNA man Low Ki set to fill the UK Champ's spot on the 7 October show in Mississauga, Ontario. As well as holding WWE UK gold, Pete is also the Destiny Champion and was scheduled to defend his title against Josh Alexander on the 7 October show.

During Destiny's announcement for Dunne's injury, they revealed that WWE will release an official statement on the matter in the coming days. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how severe this one actually is, then.

Nonetheless, everybody at Cultaholic wishes Pete a speedy recovery!
