WWE Unveil Redesigned United States Championship On Raw

Without the champion present...

Yesterday, WrestleVotes reported WWE was set to unveil the redesigned United States Championship on last night's episode of Monday Night Raw. Little was known about the new belt but it reportedly had a "clean, yet prestigious look."

The new title belt was revealed last night as Montel Vontavious Porter and Bobby Lashley made their way to the ring. US Champion Apollo Crews did not appear on the show as he is still selling last week's attack from The All Mighty.

Before unveiling the redesigned title, MVP cut a promo on Crews and berated him for turning down his help. He then promised to take the US Title from him at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules on July 19.

The former IWGP Intercontinental Champion revealed the new championship belt moments later and placed it around his own waist.

WWE had reportedly been planning to redesign the title for some time as reports last month noted a new belt would be introduced after enough replicas had been created.
