WWE Women's Championship Match Set For SmackDown

Iyo Sky will put her title on the line next week

New SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is already making some big decisions in his role on the blue brand, and he has announced a big match for next week’s show.

He was met with Charlotte Flair backstage, and stated that he agreed with the injustice at Fastlane in which Flair was cost a victory due to the referee being distracted during a triple threat match which saw Iyo Sky defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Asuka and Flair.

Due to that, he said that next week, Flair would get a one-on-one match against Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Title. This will mark the third televised singles match between the pair, the first coming back in 2020 when Flair reigned as the NXT Women’s Champion. The second came more recently in July of this year, with Flair picking up the win over Sky before she was champion.

Also announced for next week is a match between Santos Escobar and Montez Ford, booked due to the recent tensions between the Latino World Order and the newly formed faction of Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits.
