WWE Women's Championship Match Set For SmackDown Next Week

Asuka will face Bianca Belair for the WWE Women's Championship

Following a chaotic segment on this past edition of SmackDown in which Bianca Belair led an attack on WWE Women’s Champion Asuka, with Bayley and IYO SKY making their respective presences felt, and ending with Charlotte Flair thwarting attempts at a Money in the Bank cash-in from SKY, a title match has been set up within that mayhem for next week.

After showing displeasure at Flair jumping the line, Belair has finally been given her promised title rematch by Adam Pearce against the woman who defeated her for the gold previously at the Night of Champions premium live event in Saudi Arabia - Asuka. The match was announced to be taking place on next week’s Friday Night SmackDown on July 14. One week ago, Asuka defended the title against Flair, only for Belair to interfere and cause a disqualification, attacking both women and standing tall to close out the segment.

As of yet, this is the only match or segment currently announced for next week’s show from Raleigh, North Carolina.  Cultaholic Wrestling has an account on Threads! You can follow us here. You can also follow us on Bluesky here.
