Xavier Woods Reacts To WWE Name Change

No more King Woods

While he may have been the 2021 King Of The Ring winner, King Woods will no longer be referred to as a king and he has reverted back to his original Xavier Woods name.

There is no word on why WWE decided to drop the 'king' name, especially since Zelina Vega is still billed as Queen Zelina.

Woods reacted to the name change on Twitter, writing: "Call me King Woods, Call me Xavier Woods, Call me Austin Creed. May as well call me King Midas since everything I touch turns to gold and I look great in that picture, almost as good as in real life."

The 2021 King Of The Ring winner had been on the shelf with an injury but he returned to WWE TV on Friday's episode of SmackDown, defeating Ridge Holland in 46 seconds.

Woods will be in action at WrestleMania 38 when he teams with New Day faction-mate Kofi Kingston to take on Sheamus and Ridge Holland.

The match will take place on WrestleMania Saturday on April 2 at Arlington's AT&T Stadium.
