Zack Sabre Jr Challenges Will Ospreay For The IWGP UK Championship

Will Ospreay had a busy night last night at RevPro’s 11th Anniversary show. Not only did he have a hard fought win over NJPW’s Shingo Takagi in the main event of the evening, and not only did he suffer from a post-match ambush from his AEW All In opponent Chris Jericho, but he was also challenged to a match for his IWGP UK Heavyweight Championship in two months time.

Just prior to the Jericho surprise beatdown, Zack Sabre Jr emerged to challenge Ospreay for his newly christened UK belt at the NJPW Royal Quest III event on October 14th. It was noted that the match would be for the belt only if Ospreay is still champion by then, as he has a defense lined up prior to that date against Yota Tsuji at NJPW Destruction in Kobe in September. 

Zack Sabre Jr and Will Ospreay last had a singles match back in 2022 when ZSJ defeated Ospreay in the quarter finals of the New Japan Cup.
