Zelina Vega Appears On January 16 WWE NXT, Says It Was Nice To Be 'Home'

Zelina Vega was all smiles during her return to NXT last night

Ever since the rebranded NXT began a couple of years back, and especially more-so since Triple H took over creative control of the main roster, it is often the case that main roster will show up on NXT for either short runs or cameos. The likes of the Judgment Day, Becky Lynch, Baron Corbin, Natalya, and AJ Styles are among the more notable names who have made trips down to developmental in recent times. Zelina Vega is the latest to be added to that list.

Latino World Order members Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro were competing on the show last night, taking part in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic for the third time, after previously taking part in the 2021 and 2022 editions of the tournament, though this is the first time they have represented the LWO.

Zelina Vega made her return to NXT to accompany the pair, and when speaking in an NXT Exclusive interview, she spoke on how nice it was to be back on the brand.

“It was so good. I mean, to walk out there and to get a nice little ‘Zelina Vega chant’ was pretty nice, and to have Puerto Rican flags in the audience, I mean, come on. It felt nice to be home, and I gotta support my guys here, always. We always stick together. Now, as far as SmackDown goes, even just walking around here, seeing some little Zelina Vega lites, Santos is a grade-school gangster, if we’re really gonna talk about it. Everything that he is is made up, and he has no respect. As far as Angel goes, I’m sorry, I don’t really remember anybody that couldn’t make me money. What I will say is that we have bigger things to worry about. So now, guys, let’s make sure that the Latino World Order wins the Dusty Cup.”

Vega didn’t compete very often in NXT when she was part of developmental, instead she was the manager for Andrade El Idolo, helping to lead him to NXT Championship success.
