Formed in 2002, Ring of Honor didn't wait long to crown their inaugural world champion and a four-way Iron Man Match produced the first-ever ROH World Champion on July 27, 2002.

There have been a whole host of champions and a number of different versions of the ROH World Title since then as the promotion has passed from Cary Silkin to Sinclair Broadcast Group to Tony Khan, and some of the best wrestlers ever are former ROH World Champions.
