Every major pro wrestling promotion has their own version of WarGames - the match created by Dusty Rhodes in the 1980s - with TNA introducing Lethal Lockdown in 2005.
The match consists of two teams utilising a staggered entry system similar to other WarGames matches with the difference that a ceiling filled with weapons is often added to the top of the cage when all of the participants have entered the match, locking them down.
The match has primarily taken place on its own pay-per-view in Lockdown, which was an annual show until 2016 and will be revived in 2026. Lethal Lockdown has taken place at other events, however, in Bound for Glory, Hardcore Justice, and No Surrender.
