Five years into the promotion's existence, the TNA Women's World Championship was created, with the inaugural champion being crowned at Bound For Glory 2007.
The title wouldn't hold that name for long, however, as the belt was soon renamed to the TNA Women's Knockout World Championship in 2008 and then to the TNA Knockouts World Championship in 2010, with the belt being the top title in the TNA/GFW/IMPACT/TNA again Knockouts division.
