Created in 1998 as the Attitude Era was in full swing in a segment between Vince McMahon and Mankind, the WWE Hardcore Title became the vehicle for all manner of carnage on Monday Night Raw and later SmackDown.
The title was often contested in Hardcore matches, but the 24-hour stipulation, where the title could change hands anytime, anywhere, meant the championship would often switch between wrestlers at least five times a night without a sanctioned match taking place after it was introduced.
There were over 200 WWE Hardcore champions, but can you name every single one?
