Another Possible WWE Release Revealed

WWE may have quietly released another talent. 

WWE have carried out post-WrestleMania 40 releases over the past week. The likes of former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, Veer, Sanga, Xia Li, Xyon Quinn, and Von Wagner were let go on Friday, April 19. Former NXT North American Champion Cameron Grimes was then released on Tuesday, April 23 in a surprising move from the company. 

WWE have stopped publicly announcing releases but another talent may have been let go as NXT's Guru Raaj has been moved to the alumni section of the roster page on WWE.com. Raaj was signed by WWE in recent years as part of the company's push to sign Indian talent and reach a wider audience in India, a push WWE now appears to have abandoned. 

Raaj made his WWE debut in January 2021 on the Superstar Spectacle special for the Indian market, losing to Finn Balor. He only had 19 matches after this, though, across 205 Live, NXT Level Up, and NXT TV. Raaj hasn't wrestled at all for WWE since he lost to SCRYPTS on the November 22, 2022 episode of NXT.
