Bobby Lashley Still Angling For Match With Brock Lesnar

Will we ever see it?

Bobby Lashley isn't like most 44 year olds. Most 44 year olds don't possess his insane level of strength and agility, and most 44 year olds don't openly clamor for a showdown with "The Beast Incarnate".

For years, Lashley's spoken of his desire to face a similar freestyle wrestler-turned-WWE star-turned-MMA competitor in Lesnar, but the match just hasn't come to pass.

After turning 44 on Thursday, Lashley expressed gratitude to all of those who wished him a happy birthday on social media, and used that forum to renew his pitch.

Wrote Lashley on Twitter, "Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. Same as last year, my only wish is for @BrockLesnar to finally get in the ring with me."

Though it seems like a match that just has to happen one day, it might be a while before we see it. As noted in an earlier story, WWE is holding off on using Lesnar, since it's unwise to have a wrestler of both his price tag and his limited appearances work in times where they're not selling tickets.
