Brian Cage Reveals There Is A Plan For His AEW Return

AEW have plans in place for Brian Cage’s return

Brian Cage has been more than conspicuous by his absence from AEW, with many shocked when AEW reportedly picked up ‘The Machine’s contract option year, despite Cage not being featured on AEW since October 2021.

Cage though, has indicated that there indeed plans for his return in AEW, saying to the Going Broadway podcast "There is a plan. I guess that's about as much as I can throw around out there. We'll wait and see.”

The former FTW Champion continued, noting how he has been pitching ideas throughout his time in AEW, including during his extended absence:

"I've pitched different ideas. There was ideas that changed up towards the end. I came up with a couple of ideas. There are different creative ideas, some are more detailed than others. It's all supposed to formulate into this plan that is underway.”

Cage’s last match was a loss to Ricky Starks in a Philadelphia Street Fight on AEW Rampage in October 2021. Cage has since wrestled across the indies and on the Jericho Cruise, amidst speculation as to what his future holds.
