Change Made To WWE NXT Title Match At Heatwave 2024

Change made to WWE NXT Heatwave

A change was made to the NXT Title match at Heatwave on Tuesday night.

The main event of WWE NXT saw Shawn Spears defeat Trick Williams, pinning the NXT Champion in the middle of the ring. The end of the show then saw NXT General Manager Ava quell any arguments by announcing the NXT Title match at Heatwave would now be a Fatal 4-Way as she added Shawn Spears and Ethan Page to the previously announced match of Trick Williams vs. Je'Von Evans.

Evans earned an NXT Title shot at Heatwave on last week's NXT by winning a 25-man Battle Royal. Ethan Page was never eliminated from the match, though, and he ended up defeating Je'Von Evans in the main event of last week's NXT. That show then went off the air with Williams, Spears, Page, and Evans all down with the NXT Title in the middle of them.

Several other title matches were made official for Heatwave on June 25, including Roxanne Perez vs. Lola Vice for the NXT Women's Championship, Kelani Jordan vs. Sol Ruca for the NXT Women's North American Title, Nathan Frazer & Axiom vs. Chase U for the NXT Tag Team Titles, and Oba Femi vs. Wes Lee for the NXT North American Championship.

WWE NXT Heatwave will emanate from Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on July 7. The updated card is as follows:

  • Trick Williams (c) vs. Ethan Page vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Shawn Spears - NXT Championship
  • Nathan Frazer & Axiom (c) vs. Chase U (Andre Chase & Duke Hudson) - NXT Tag Team Championships
  • Oba Femi (c) vs. Wes Lee - NXT North American Championship
  • Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Lola Vice - NXT Women's Championship
  • Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Sol Ruca - NXT Women's North American Championship
